Daniel T. Cotton, ABC Certified Prosthetist Orthotist
Daniel Cotton was born and raised in Spencer, Iowa. He completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at Luther College in business management with a concentration in finance. While attending Luther College, Daniel was a two-sport athlete, playing both baseball and football.
In 1999, Daniel attended prosthetic school in Newington, Connecticut, which is affiliated with the University of Connecticut. Daniel would eventually turn his passion into a career, getting certified by the American Board for Certification (ABC) in both prosthetics and orthotics.
After returning to Kansas City, Daniel completed his residency with NovaCare/Hanger Orthopedics. After completing his residency, Daniel worked for the group for approximately six years before co-founding his first practice.
In 2007, Daniel co-founded Horizon Orthotic and Prosthetic Experience where he helped countless patients in need of advanced prosthetic and orthotic solutions. Daniel established the foundation and helped grow the company for five years before deciding it was time to open a practice under his own name.
In March of 2012, Daniel founded Cotton Orthotics and Prosthetic Associates, LLC. With the assistance of his long-time office manager, he once again built Cotton Orthotic and Prosthetic Associates into a well-known provider of advanced prosthetics and orthotics in the Kansas City Metro area and surrounding communities.
Daniel takes pride in providing excellent patient care for amputees and individuals with functional difficulties. Many of our patients appreciate early conversation about what lies ahead over the first few months after the amputation. The employees of Cotton Orthotic and Prosthetic Associates strive to help amputees, stroke survivors, and others who are challenged by limitations that affect their mobility. Our goal is to get patients moving as soon as possible to ensure the most positive outcomes.
As President of Cotton Orthotic and Prosthetic Associates, LLC, Daniel strives to ensure that every single patient is completely satisfied with the scope of his practice’s work and follow-up.
